Sarah Stevens, Adriana Matheys, Heather Akins
Sarah Stevens is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from Presbyterian College and her Master’s in Speech Pathology from the University of South Carolina. She has additional training in DIR Floortime and Hanen caregiver strategies.
Her areas of interest include early language development, AAC, articulation and phonological disorders, and working with the hearing impaired population. Sarah especially enjoys working with toddlers and preschoolers with emerging communication.
Sarah takes an individualized, child-led, and family-centered approach to therapy, focusing on collaboration to best support each child’s success.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Hazel, as well as traveling and visiting the mountains.
Adriana is a licensed and certified speech language pathologist, and co-owner of ChatterBox Kids. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduate degree from Univeristy of Hawaii, Manoa.
After working in the school system for five years, Adriana knew her heart was in early intervention within the natural environment. Adriana specializes in seeing children with a variety of diagnoses such as: Autism, apraxia, articulation disorders, phonological impairments, receptive/expressive language delays, and social communication deficits.
Adriana loves spending her time with her two kids (ages 6 and 4) and husband. They enjoy traveling and going to the beach.
Abbey Fauerbach-Deaton is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who earned her Master of Science in Communication Science Disorders from the Medical University of South Carolina and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston. She has additional training in PBIS, DIR, ASL, and Auditory Processing Disorders.
Abbey’s areas of interest include early intervention, articulation and phonological impairments, motor speech disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and sensory and emotional regulation. She is especially passionate about working with children ages six and under, recognizing the importance of early experiences in shaping communication and development.
Her therapy approach is child-centered, play-based, and focused on meaningful, one-on-one interaction. Abbey prioritizes building strong connections, following the child’s lead, and using each child’s strengths to support growth.
Outside of work, Abbey enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs, Mila and Fraggle.
Alison “Ali” Gallo is a national certified (ASHA) and state licensed Speech Language Pathologist. She has worked as an SLP with Chatterbox Kids since 2009. Ali was born and raised outside of Syracuse, New York. Ali graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders in 2005 from the State University of New York at Geneseo, and she completed her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology at SUNY Geneseo in 2006. Upon completion of Graduate school, Ali moved to Charleston, SC to complete her Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) with the Charleston County School District, where she continued to work from 2007-2017. During her professional career, Ali has had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations and disorders. She also has gained experience working as a speech-language pathologist in a variety of settings including schools, daycares, and homes. Ali has had the opportunity to professionally work with children with children with Developmental Delays, Feeding/Oral Motor Disorders, Down Syndrome, Autism, Apraxia, Fluency Disorders, English Language Learners (ELL/ ESL), Medically Fragile Children, and Articulation/Phonological Disorders. She has received specialized training in Feeding assessment/intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorders, basic sign language, and Assistive Technology. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages and their families. Ali lives in the Charleston area with her husband, two sons, and their dog, Mollie.
Emily Fetzer is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who earned her degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Florida State University and her Master of Arts from the University of Central Florida.
Her areas of interest include early language development, receptive and expressive language, and speech sound disorders. Emily enjoys working with toddlers with emerging communication, as well as preschool and school-age children with articulation needs.
Emily incorporates literacy-based therapy into her sessions and believes in creating fun, play-based experiences that support natural learning and development.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys golfing with her family, cooking, reading, working out, and traveling.
Emma Sells is a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow who earned her degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Butler University and her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Carolina.
Her areas of interest include early language development and feeding, and she especially enjoys working with toddlers and infants with emerging communication and feeding needs.
Emma takes a play-based, caregiver-centered approach to therapy, focusing on creating meaningful, positive experiences that support both communication and feeding development.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys spending time with her fiancé and kitten, exploring Charleston, trying new restaurants, reading, and working out.
Ginny Sabers is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who earned both her Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Hearing Sciences and Master of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati. She is CPR and First Aid certified and holds a certification in Deaf Studies.
Ginny’s clinical interests include augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), early language development, and speech sound disorders. She is especially passionate about supporting multimodal communication and helping non-speaking children find their voices. Ginny enjoys working with the autistic community, toddlers with emerging communication, and preschoolers with articulation needs.
Her therapy approach is play-based and family-centered, with an emphasis on open communication and collaboration across disciplines. Ginny tailors her treatment to meet each child’s unique needs, working closely with families to support meaningful progress.
Outside of work, Ginny enjoys spending time at the beach, baking, traveling to visit family and friends, and being with her dog, Remy. She is also excitedly planning her upcoming wedding in June 2026.

Lauren Hopkins is a Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow who earned her degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Akron and her graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Carlow University.
Her areas of interest include feeding and early language development, and she especially enjoys working with children ages one to three, as well as infants developing feeding skills.
Lauren takes a child-led, play-based approach to therapy, focusing on helping children communicate their wants and needs in a fun and meaningful way.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys walking her dog, Finn, and trying new foods with friends and family.
Megan earned her undergraduate degree at Marshall University and holds a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hampton University. Megan brings her experience working as a Speech Therapist in a school system, NICU, and inpatient/outpatient hospital setting in Delaware to her current role as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist at Chatterbox Kids.
Megan is also a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and provides treatment to breastfeeding infants within the home. She works on oral motor issues, positioning, latch techniques, and milk production with both the mothers and the infants. Megan also treats children with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to developmental disabilities, Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, apraxia, articulation disorders, phonological impairments, fluency disorders/stuttering, feeding and swallowing disorders, receptive/expressive language delays, and social communication deficits. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), and is accredited by the South Carolina's Professional Licensing Board. Megan has completed continuing education under Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson, M.S., CCC-SLP, of Talk Tools, also participating in the development of On-Demand CEU trainings for fellow professionals.
She has extensive experience in evaluation and treatment plan development for oral placement therapy and Feeding Therapy; A Sensory Motor Approach. Megan is also a Clinical Supervisor for the University of South Carolina, and dedicates her time in teaching new techniques and clinical approaches to upcoming Speech therapists. Megan has also served as a mentor for several new graduates as well as been a Supervisor for clinicians in their Fellowship year providing training, observation and motivation to improve their clinical effectiveness. In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her son, daughter and husband in the Charleston area, swimming, and organizing events and sponsorships.
Mollie Dingle graduated with her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Appalachian State in 2004 and earned a masters in Speech Pathology from the University of Sydney Australia in 2007. She is a current member of ASHA. Her areas of interest are Early Intervention, Articulation and Phonological Disorders, and Childhood Apraxia of Speech. In her spare time she loves to cook, read, and hang out with her family at the sports fields and beaches.
